Q1：国际学生秋季学期能否正常来华学习?

Can international students enter Mainland of China as usual for fall semester?

山西财经大学秋季学期如期开学。根据目前的疫情防控形势，在中国境内的同学可以来校报到，参加线下学习。不在中国境内的同学，由于旅行限制和入境要求不能入境，可以进行线上报到注册、线上学习。

The fall semester of Shanxi University of Finance & Economics will commence as scheduled. According to the current situation of epidemic prevention and control:

International students who are inside Mainland of China can arrive at Shanxi University of Finance & Economics to register and take part in offline learning.

Those who are outside Mainland of China cannot enter China due to travel restrictions and entry requirements, but can register online for online learning.

Q2: 在中国境外的国际学生，预计什么时候能入境?

I am currently outside Mainland of China. Is there any estimated time when I am able to enter Mainland of China?

因为疫情的不确定性，目前无法确定预计允许入境时间。境外学生可以联系所在国家/地区的中国使领馆进行咨询,并且耐心等待学校通知。

Because of the uncertainty of the pandemic, there is no estimated time the university can provide. Please consult the Chinese embassy/consulate in your place，and wait the notice from school patiently.

Q3:在中国境内的新生如何报到注册?

How should new students who are inside Mainland of China register at the university?

根据目前疫情防控要求，省外国际学生需按照我校所发邮件内容要求，进行统一健康观测及核酸检测后，方可来晋进行入学报到注册相关手续，来校报到时要主动出示健康码。

According to the current epidemic prevention and control requirements, new students  who are in other provinces should come to Shan Xi province and register after the health observation for 14 days and nucleic acid testing. Attention：All new students must show your health code before register with the University.
Q4: 在中国境外的新生如何报到注册?

How should new students who are out of Mainland of China register at the university?

在中国境外的新生可按照学校通知，通过线上方式进行注册。请密切关注学校的进一步通知。

New students out of Mainland of China should follow the university’s instructions to register online. Please pay close attention to notice from the university updates.
Q5 : 我是国际学生新生, 现在中国大陆, 签证快到期了, 是否可以帮我提前办理签证延期?

I am a new international student now in Mainland of China, and my visa is about to expire. Can I have help with my visa extension in advance?

学生未办理报到注册，学校无法为学生提前办理签证延期。请咨询当地出入境管理局办理其他类型签证或者人道主义停留签证。也可以参照国家移民局出台的政策“疫情期间如签证到期，可自动顺延两个月”判断是否需要办理延期。由于签证为属地管理，各地出入境管理部门执行情况不一致，具体可咨询当地出入境管理部门。

The university is unable to assist the students who have not yet registered at the university to apply for a visa extension in advance. Students can consult their local Exit and Entry Administration Bureau for other types of visas or humanitarian stay visas that could be applied for. Students can also take note of the "2-month automatic visa extension for visas which will expire during the epidemic prevention and control period” policy to determine whether an extension is needed. As visas are managed by local jurisdictions, the implementation of immigration departments in different regions in China varies. For details, please consult your local Exit and Entry Administration Bureau.
Q6: 我是国际学生新生，签证还在有效期内，我按照要求来山西财经大学注册后，是否帮助我办理签证延期手续?

I am a new international student now in Mainland of China, and my visa is still valid. Can I have help with my visa extension after registration?

若新生报到注册完成后，持有有效学习类居留许可，可进行签证延期；若持有其他类型签证，请确保所持有的签证类型在太原可以变更为学习类居留许可，并通过邮件向我校告知，方可来校报到 (是否可以变更，请咨询太原市公安局出入境相关部门）；若无法变更，我校将不予受理。

If a new student holds the valid study residence permit after registration, school could help with visa extension; If you hold other types of visa, please ensure that the type of visa you hold can be changed to study residence permit in Taiyuan, and inform school by email, then you can come to the school to register. (please consult the Taiyuan Exit and Entry Administration Bureau for more details); if it cannot be changed, the university will not accept it.
Q7: 我目前在中国境外，该如何办理来华签证?

I am right now out of Mainland of China. How should I apply for visa to enter the country?

学校接到政府相关部门的通知后及时向学生邮寄办理来华签证所需的纸质录取材料。你也可以咨询你所在地区的中国使领馆，关注最新的来华签证政策。

Decisions about when to deliver the hard copy of the admission documents to the admitted students will be made based on the relevant government policies. At the same time, you may also contact and consult the Chinese embassy/consulate in your place to follow the updated information about visa application.

03校内住宿预订

On-campus Accommodation Reservation
Q8: 新生如何预订校内住宿?How can new students reserve a dormitory?

目前，新生无需事先预订校内住宿。到校参加注册报到的新生，可在报到时直接申请办理校内住宿。

For now, new students don’t need to reserve a dormitory. You can directly apply for on-campus accommodation when you come to the campus for registration.

04 学费、奖学金

Q9: 我是奖学金新生，按学校要求办理了报到注册，奖学金如何发放？

I am a new student with scholarship. How will my scholarship be issued after I register as required?

按学校要求到校办理报到注册手续的同学，我校按该奖学金的管理规定正常执行。按学校要求线上办理报到注册手续的同学，奖学金生活费待学生正常来校报到，并通过相关资格审查和考核之后开始发放。

For students who complete registration as required, the scholarship will be normally issued according to the related regulations. For students who complete online registration as required, the scholarship will be issued once they arrive in China, register and complete the required qualification review.
